The Concerned National Service Personnel Association of Ghana (CNSPAG) has issued a strongly worded statement expressing outrage, describing the situation as “unacceptable, unconscionable, and a national disgrace.”
According to the group, thousands of young graduates who are currently serving the nation have been pushed into severe financial hardship due to months of unpaid allowances. Many are reportedly struggling to afford basic necessities such as transportation, rent, and food.
Even more disturbing are claims that some personnel have suffered serious health complications as a result of the situation. Reports indicate that a number of service personnel have been hospitalized due to stress, hunger, and related conditions — a development CNSPAG describes as a “betrayal of Ghanaian youth.”
Speaking on behalf of the group, President Kwadwo Ye-Large (Political Doctor) stated that patience among personnel has completely run out. He criticized the silence and perceived lack of urgency from authorities, calling it a clear sign of disregard for the welfare and dignity of young graduates.
In what is shaping up to be a dramatic escalation, CNSPAG has issued a final ultimatum: pay all outstanding allowances immediately or face mass protest actions.
Most notably, the group has threatened to stage a “naked demonstration” in the coming days if their demands are not met — a move they say symbolizes the “extreme vulnerability, neglect, and indignity” they have endured.
“This is not a decision we take lightly,” the statement emphasized. “It is a desperate response to prolonged suffering and institutional neglect.”
The group is calling on the National Service Authority, the Ministry of Finance, and all relevant government bodies to act swiftly to avoid what they describe as a looming national embarrassment.
As tensions rise, all eyes are now on the authorities to respond — before the situation escalates into one of the most controversial protests in recent times.
